In their whirlwind modern day fairytale, Alex and Ashley met after swiping right! While on vacation in the Outer Banks, NC, Ashley decided to try her hand at online dating and after matching with Alex she knew she needed to meet him! The two were an hour apart, but they managed to meet midway in a town called Rodanthe. Ashley met Alex and his dog, Bowie there for drinks. After a perfect first date, the rest was history. * After several months of long distance-dating the two decided to relocate to Richmond, Virginia. Together they would face covid shut downs, going back to school/starting new career paths, the heartbreak of losing furry friends, and the joy of gaining new ones. Through it all, they stayed best friends. * Finally on August 29th, 2023 Alex and Ashley were on vacation with Alex’s family in the Outer Banks where it all began. He asked her to marry him while watching the sunset on the beach! Ashley said yes, and the two knew they needed to tie the knot there where their love began!
